Last week at the Rose Bowl flea market I scored this vintage wicker screen. I’ve been looking for a headboard to keep at the studio for photos and I new this was the perfect one since we’re short on space here and this one is light weight and it folds up for easy storage. As soon as I put it up it made me realize how much I love the look of screens as headboards — they are so great for layering. I love how in the bottom photo, for example, the wallpaper behind the screen is slightly visible — it creates that pattern on pattern vibe that I love. Also, if the screen is large enough — I love how it looks when the screen spans further out and is layered behind the bedside table as well. It feels very regal somehow.
Here’s a little get-the-look with some cool vintage screens I found on our partners’ site, Chairish. To see all of my screen selects, head over to my favorites page. How great is that one with the palm trees. Seriously drooling over here!! Have a great weekend friends!
