Y’all know I love my vintage, but searching for vintage home goods online can be a black hole of darkness that leads to a place where I find myself either A.) logging into an account to ‘see the price’ of an amazing floral settee only to discover that it’s $19,000–OR to B.) compulsively purchase that $30 item that looks super cool, but I can’t quite tell because the photos are kinda blurry, about 15 pixels wide and pressing the “CTRL+PLUS SIGN” doesn’t seem to be helping any.
The same thing goes for selling. I love having garage sales as much as the next gal but it’s tough to ask for what an item is actually worth at a garage sale–people expect rock-bottom prices in garage-sale contexts. And I love Craigslist, really I do–but I’m kind of over dealing with the flakeyness of Craigslist buyers. Also, one of the main things that has kept me from opening up an online store all these years is dealing with the hassle of shipping. It is for these reasons and more that I’m super excited to introduce Chairish to you today!
Chairish is an online marketplace where regular folk like me and you can buy and sell home goods–but unlike other marketplaces Chairish is curated–and also, returns are allowed within 48 hours–which (as you all probably know) is basically unheard of for vintage items.
If you wanna sell stuff on Chairish, there are three levels of service (and there are NO LISTING FEES. Yay)! The three services to choose from are:
- Sellers submit items online and, once the item is approved, the item goes live on Chairish within 48 hours. When the item sells, Chairish arranges pickup and sends the seller a check. Sellers take home 80% of the final selling price.
- Chairish sends a pro photographer to seller’s home to take pictures and help with the listing. Once the item sells, Chairish arranges pickup and the seller takes home 65% of the final selling price.
- (Currently available in San Franicsco and LA and growing…) Chairish picks up your items immediately and securely stores them until the they are sold. Chairish manages the entire listing process and the seller takes home 50% of the final sale price (and pays a small monthly storage fee). Really a good option if you’re moving and don’t have time (or ganas) to deal with the hassle of selling or moving all of your stuff.
Here is a collection highlighting some of my favorite pieces for sale on Chairish right now–now none of these things are dirt cheap, but they’re all beautiful pieces at good prices for what you’re getting, and the condition you’re getting ’em in.

And now for the really exciting part. I’ve partnered with Chairish to offer some vintage lover a $250 gift card to Chairish. If I got to spend $250 to spend at Chairish, I’d go for this, this, this-or this what would you go for? Sweepstakes period ends at 10/9 @ 11:59 p.m. PT when Chairish will randomly select a winner and fulfill the prize. Go HERE to enter!

This is a great contest, thank you! When I entered, it didn’t give me the promised extra entries for pinning and following on Pinterest. Sorry to bother you about this, just didn’t know who else to ask.

hey! Oh! Thanks for letting me know–I will contact the Chairish folks and see what’s up!
Justina says
OK! Got an answer–here’s what Tina at Chairish says: “If they refresh the page, they should see the numbers update and give them credit for the additional entries.” Hope that makes sense! Thanks!
