I went to Cafe Stella in Silverlake with some sweet friends last week and their new bar and patio had just opened. I fell in love with the decor: the graphic tiles, the brass details and the overall 70’s meets Morocco vibe. I liked it so much I thought it was worth a share, and I made a little “get the look” to go along with it. Wouldn’t this be a great look + feel for a patio at home?

Love those long pillows – not the one linked to, but the one featured in the 4th photo, behind the solid-colored pillow! Those look Middle Eastern, but I’ve decided to try to get a similar look using….saddle blankets! You can find them with these gorgeous Zapotec designs from all kinds of ‘Western’ stores and the prices are decent. Also ‘Southewestern’ rugs (with Zapotec or Mayan designs) are wool and flatwoven and would make gorgeous poufs and pillows if you can bring yourself to cut them up! Just thought I’d share a DIY idea for getting that kind of look (though, disclaimer, I haven’t yet tried it!) :-)
