Ever since Noa’ and I moved into our little Tree House I have dreamt of turning her storage area into a Sacred Space for her. It just seemed too perfect. I think we all need a special refuge- somewhere to retreat to for a little alone time. So, when Marcia from Apartment Therapy contacted me to see if I wanted to be featured, I figured it was the perfect incentive to finally go for it.
We began by liberating the space of all of the accumulated junk. We upholstered the walls with vintage fabric and tacks, hung a chandelier, installed a curtain and rod, added layers of blankets and pillows and lastly did a bit of styling with books, art . . .
You want to know the crazy thing?! Every single thing we used to create the space was something I pulled out of that storage space- even the chandelier!! The project didn’t cost a penny- as it should be with all sacred things!
Do you have a sacred space? Where do you go to take refuge?

OMG! So cute! It’s amazing how you can maximize this small space. I love the feather like bed sheet, it made Noa’s sacred space look really comfy.
