I’m not supposed to be eating dairy right now, but tasting Plymouth cheese is worth the extra squats at the gym. Plymouth is artisan cheese handmade made in Vermont using a recipe from 1890.
I had been in love with their packaging for a long time–it was designed by one of my dearest friends–Sarit Melmed— and her and her BF (the man behind the cheese) came to visit this week and came bearing colorful, waxy blocks of cheesy goodness and so I got to taste it for the first time–and man oh man, it’s dangerous stuff.
Besides schooling me on the art of artisinal cheese, I’ve learned much of what I know about graphic design from Sarit who is hands down the most talented graphic artist I know. She recently moved from full-time-gigging to freelance, and so if you have a design project that you need help with, she’s a great person to get in touch with. You never know, you may even get some cheese outta the deal–she’s got the connects, yo.
