It’s been six weeks and Ida is such a little person already. I swear sometimes she has *deep thoughts*–there is a lot going on behind those milky eyes. Jason and I are getting into the swing of being parents, and yes–it’s very swing like: up and down, up and down, smiles and cries, good days and hard days. She makes us laugh, sometimes she has me on the verge of tears, but every day I learn something more. Every day I can decipher more of her cries: this one means she wants more milk, this one means she has to poo…It’s not so different from learning a new language.
It’s amazing how much work these little ones take! How in the world do single parents do this on their own?? Without Jason, I’m not sure how I would be able to shower, sleep, cook–let alone get any work done. And without google, I seriously don’t know how I’d know anything at all! I find myself asking google questions all day long: ‘infant + heat rash’ ‘infant + green poo’, ‘infant + hiccups’... But as hard and as intimidating as it is, raising and loving this little girl even in these short six weeks is already the best and most important experience of my life. And now that I’ve fully recovered from my C-section operation and I’m starting to feel like myself again, I can really start to enjoy her, and us, and this new little family of mine. And with that, I’m off to pump. Have an peaceful weekend, my friends.

I swear all I talked about was poop when my lil person was born! “Is it supposed to be green?” “What’s the solidity of it?” I was so concerned too! But you learn as they grow and no matter how ridiculous the day may have been … lil boomba ALWAYS make your heart melt and your so ever grateful for them. Your doing fantastic mama & papa!
