My niece Noa collects all kinds of odds and ends like rocks, leaves, sequins, pennies, shells, sea glass– and she calls them “treasures.” She reminded me to take a closer look at things that I usually just sweep away and inspired me to make some art from leaves I was raking away in my yard.
The result is a series of leaf portraits, the first of which is displayed above.
